Supporting UK manufacturing

The majority of the waste materials we collect are destined for use within the UK’s cement industry.

Using such waste-derived materials in cement kilns reduces reliance on natural resources such as fossil fuels such as coal and raw materials such as lime and silica – and contributes to reducing emissions such as carbon dioxide.

Cement that’s been manufactured with waste derived materials consequently has less impact on the environment as well as making a valuable contribution to the UK infrastructure in terms of housing, schools and hospitals.
